Bracelet bead-count calculator

Get a practical starting quantity for round beads. The result estimates a simple continuous strand before clasps, large spacers or complex patterns.

Estimated round beads30

Buy or prepare at least 33 beads so you have room to adjust the fit and pattern.

How to use the estimate

Measure the wrist where the bracelet will sit without pulling the tape tight. Add around 1 to 1.5 cm for a comfortable everyday fit, then enter the diameter of your main bead.

The calculator rounds down to avoid making the bracelet unexpectedly long, then recommends a few extra beads for pattern adjustments. Larger focal beads, charms and spacers all occupy length, so subtract or test them in a bead-board layout before stringing.

Why this is an estimate

Beads sold as 6 mm may not all be exactly 6 mm, and a strand follows a curve around the wrist. Natural stone, pearls and handmade glass can vary most. A short physical layout remains the best final check.
