You can read ShiningBeads without creating an account. We collect the details you choose to send through the contact form and the limited technical information needed to operate and protect the website. We do not sell personal information.
Information you choose to send
When you use the contact form, we receive your name, email address, subject and message. We use this information to read your enquiry, reply when appropriate, handle corrections and keep a reasonable record of our correspondence.
Please do not include passwords, payment details, health information or other sensitive personal information in a message.
Technical information
Like most websites, our hosting provider may process technical data needed to deliver and secure the site. This can include an IP address, browser and device information, requested pages, timestamps and diagnostic or security logs. We use this information only for site operation, troubleshooting and protection against misuse.
Service providers
ShiningBeads is hosted by Vercel. Contact-form messages are sent securely through the website server and delivered to a private Google Gmail inbox. These providers process information under their own terms and privacy policies, and may process data in countries other than your own.
Cookies, analytics and advertising
ShiningBeads does not currently use advertising cookies or a visitor analytics service. If analytics, advertising or affiliate tracking is introduced, this policy and any required consent controls will be updated before those services are enabled.
How long information is kept
Contact messages are kept only for as long as reasonably needed to respond, manage related correspondence, maintain editorial records or meet legal and security obligations. Hosting and security logs may be retained for periods set by the relevant service provider.
Your choices
You may ask whether we hold personal information from a contact message, request a correction, or ask us to delete that correspondence where we are not required to retain it. Use the contact form and provide enough detail for us to locate the message. We may need to confirm that the request came from the relevant email address.

Articles may link to museums, reference sources, retailers or other websites. Their privacy practices are controlled by them, not by ShiningBeads.

We will revise this page when the website's data practices change. The date at the top will show when the latest version took effect.
