Story
Empire's Pearl
Isolde, the youngest daughter of the Dittarsdorf noble family in Vienna.
She is elegant in demeanor, warm and gracious in her interactions;
possessing extraordinary artistic talent, she is the most admired opera star in Vienna.
Isolde perfectly embodies all the expectations people have of a noblewoman.
However, whether this pearl is placed atop a hundred layers of
velvet or buried beneath a hundred layers of bedding—
those bystanders neither know nor care to find out.
Behind the Shining Pearl
Isolde inherited her bloodline, bringing her a marvelous singing voice, but also an incurable hysteria.
This "emerging" disease has nothing to do with physical defects
but concerns mental disabilities.
This condition often causes her to faint or
spasm frequently in social gatherings.
In order to alleviate the troubles caused by hysteria,
Isolde has tried various treatment methods, but has always been unsuccessful.
And now, once again, she has become a volunteer for a new therapy......
Noble's Responsibility
Isolde never "plays" roles on stage, but rather sings by invoking spirits, letting them possess her body to sing — she is the vessel of the character, and the character itself. She has always been like this, and it should remain so.
Who says identity doesn't need acting? Who says life isn't a stage?
When the cursed Dittarsdorf family has only itself and the carefree Theophil left —
"My dear brother, we should possess the true virtues and dignity of nobility."
